Established in 2005 the Original SS was designed to educate people about the wonderful food available in Scotland and showcase the hospitality skills of the people of Scotland.
A family run business, we not only take pride in our food, but also our staff with many of our staff starting in the business as kitchen porters and developing into chefs.
Some have tried to copy this successful concept and failed!
We also take part in many food festivals such as, Channel 4 Taste, Glamis Food Fortnight, Dundee Food Festival and others.
At the Sizzling Scot we are committed to providing diners with the finest Scottish dining experience possible. As part of our commitment to this aim is we are associated with a few select industry associations which promote values similar to our own. At present the Sizzling Scot is a member of the associations below:
"The Scotch Beef Club is unashamedly based on quality. Restaurants who are accepted as members of this exclusive club will promote Scotch Beef clearly and unambiguously on their menus, sending out a positive message about the integrity of Scotch Beef to discerning customers all over the world.
In order to be accepted, applicants have to demonstrate the ability to clearly identify the beef they purchase and a commitment and co-operation with their suppliers to have the required information available on request."
